eXcellerate’s premier data analytics product iXcede uncovered an 8% increase in overall production across a fleet of rope shovels and hydraulic excavators, providing targeted, unbiased and actionable feedback to operators, translating to a sizable estimated annual revenue boost of US $100M.
A recent assessment of a client operator performance system revealed critical data insights for a top 12 global Copper producer, leading to significant operational improvement in their Electric Rope Shovels, 500T Hydraulic Excavators and Ultra Class Haul Trucks.
The current performance system did not assess on a ‘like for like’ (LFL) basis.
The client required a trusted and engaging system, allowing individual operators to understand their strengths and identify areas for improvement and in addition, a means to accurately identify high performing operators ensuring optimised machine time.
The client has also identified their average truck load weights were significantly less than their 306t target and required improvement in this area and an overall productivity uplift.
eXcellerate’s iXcede software was able to highlight critical insights into the operation;
At eXcellerate, we focus on building long-term capability, not just delivering technical solutions. By investing time in one-on-one coaching and leading group discussions, we empower our client teams to challenge the status quo and foster collaboration.

“The truck payload improvement was achieved on time in September 2021 and the project was valued +US$100M in the Anglo American Technical Presentation 2021”
Marc Johnson (MD of Wallance Advisory and Former Technical Services Manager Los Bronces)
“I first implemented a version of the 95% Operator Performance management system at Dawson Mine in 2007 as a supervisor. This delivered significant benefits, both in terms of the productivity of the machines, but also from the perspective of the operators in receiving concrete performance based feedback on how they were going.
In November 2020 Los Bronces Mine sought to implement an operator coaching and management system to improve Operator Performance on Electric Shovels (6*Cat495) and Hydraulic Diggers (4*KomPC5500), and payloads on Trucks (56*Kom930E +8%). The 95% system was selected to integrate with the Anglo American Business Improvement System and provide detailed feedback to the Operators and Supervisors from surveyed and reconciled data to facilitate individual operator performance coaching and improvement on the major equipment on site. The integrated 95% system was delivered on time and on budget with additional reporting. The truck payload improvement was achieved on time in September 2021 and the project was valued +US$100M in the Anglo American Technical Presentation 2021.”
